"In the basement of a labyrinthine warehouse, a woman lies on a hospital bed while an unfeasibly long length of ribbon unspools from her mouth. She’s being watched by bedside visitors in sober coats and outsize wigs; they end up lip-synching to power ballads like the most melodramatic of drag queens, hurling themselves against the wire of the cage they’re in." - Sanjoy Roy / 📷 Teddy Park
In late October 2016, Theo Adams Company created a performance installation as part of Veuve Clicquot's 'Widow Series', a collaboration with FKA Twigs and set designers from Streeters London. 📷 @blonners_sarah blonstein

Beauty Papers / Theo Adams Company 'Slow Curtain... The End'
Backstage preview from Theo Adams Company's new film project - 'SLOW CURTAIN... THE END' (coming soon). The moment the performers completed their performances, photographer @tomjohnsonstudio captured the cast, still out of breath, sweaty and delirious with no time to recover, no make-up or hair touch ups, for the 'Movement' issue of @beautypapersmag
Wednesday Jun 22nd saw the world premiere of 'Songs Without' at the Glossop Festival which was commissioned by the Michael Cuddigan Trust. It was the first of three performances, the others taking place in Aldeburgh and Oxford in July. It was written specially for the remarkable soprano Katherine Broderick and the excellent Angell Trio.
Theo Adams Company & Isamaya Ffrench present -THESPIS- ----------- Thespis of Icaria, according to Aristotle, was the first person to take to the stage and portray someone other than himself. On 23rd November 534 BC Thespis wore a mask and performed as Dionysus, the god of ritual madness and religious ecstasy. It was at this moment that Tragedy was created. The ghost of Thespis is said to wreak havoc upon theatres all over the world to this day, especially on 23rd November each year.
On 23rd November 2015, the Theo Adams Company united a group of performers to create a series of theatrical characters to summon the ghost of Thespis.
